In 2016 and 2019, students at Bangkok’s RC International School put together a toy, book and bake sale to raise money to support small schools in rural Thailand. Even though the items were sold at between 5-50 baht, the event managed to collect a total of 32,675 baht for a good cause.

ActionAid supporter Lauren Bradley ran her first marathon for ActionAid and took part in the
London Marathon. Initially Lauren was nervous about the challenge ahead but with the right fundraising support and inspiration she ended up smashing her £2,000 target raising a total of £2,467.

Host an event

Supporters Simon and Richard hosted a James Bond evening and raised £2,000. They kept prices down by finding a free venue, sending Facebook invitations and organising a themed playlist. They held money-making competitions all night including an auction.

Fundraise in your workplace

Fundraising in the office is a great way to raise cash. Whether it’s a dress up or dress down day, a raffle, or an afterwork potluck.
